1. SAC-TTP is basically an on-the-job training program. Competent instruction and supervision make this type of training very effective for rapid training of unskilled persons. All courses are of ten months duration. Participants are distributed to 22 training centers, which are business enterpises. From Monday to Saturnday each week, for at least four hours per day, a minimum of 500 hours of practical experience is required for graduation. It is not rare to see some students accumulate as many as 800 hours by the end of the program. During training, the students are equipped with tools of their trade to supplement those of the shop 2. The on-the-job training is complemented by sessions of Technical Instruction (3-6hrs/week) by an instructor specialized in the specific field. 3. For two days a week, trainees must attend Academic class at St. Anthony's College. All trainees are required to attend St. Anthony's College for 12 hours each week of functional/academic training to prepare for life in their trade. It should be noted that each topic is under the responsibilty of one college teacher specialized in the subject who gives freely of his time and comptence for the benefit of the youths.
